Dr. Luther O’Neal Sutter opened Sutter Family Practice in 1971. The office location at 320 West Market Street in Chatsworth, Georgia became the home to Sutter Family Practice in 1987.
Opened in 1970 by L. O’Neil Sutter, M.D., Sutter Family Practice provided healthcare to the citizens of small-town Chatsworth. The practice thrived over two decades under Dr. Sutter’s leadership.
Dr. Sutter passed in 1995 leaving behind a great establishment that continued his legacy of optimal health care.
In 2009, Dr. J. Michael Brown became the practicing physician and took ownership of Sutter Family Practice in 2014.
Today, Sutter Family Practice continues to offer comprehensive care to Murray County and surrounding areas.

Dr. Michael Brown is a Murray County native and a 1980 graduate of Murray County High School. In private practice since 1992, he began to serve the Chatsworth area when he joined the excellent staff of Sutter Family Practice in 2009.
Rachel is a 2017 scholar graduate of North Murray High School who is continuing her education in Healthcare Administration. She is well rounded in public relations and brings impeccable customer service to Sutter Family Practice.
Nikki graduated from North Murray High School in 2016 and became a Certified Medical Office assistant after graduating from the Academy of Allied Health in 2018. She began her career working along side urology physicians for over a year and a half. Nikki has chosen to continue her career as a CMA in family medicine with us here at Sutter Family Practice.
Patricia is a 2003 graduate of Forrest County Agricultural High School in Brooklyn, Mississippi. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in 2011 at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA. Patricia joined Sutter Family Practice in 2019 and brings with her 15 years combined experience in Urology, Ear, Nose & Throat, and Emergency Room operations. Her wealth of medical office management knowledge is an asset to our team.
